Vault of Midnight is proud to celebrate a quarter century of awesome! 25 years ago two wacky kids with a pipe dream decided to sell some comics and stuff. Now here we are two and half decades later with three locations, dozens of employees, and a love for the communities that Vault calls home!
to celebrate, we invite you to join us digitally on Saturday July 31st from 12:00-6:00pm for our first EVER digital comic convention, VoM CON!
This event will feature multiple discussion panels, cosplay contests for kids and adults, an interactive draw along with local artists, an online nerdy trivia contest, and much more! We hope to see you there, and here's to another 25+!

PANELS
“Quarter Comics to Quarter Century” will feature the owners and founders of Vault of Knowledge, Curtis Sullivan and Steve Fodale. They will be kicking off the festivities with the inaugural VoMCon address, and will be sharing what it’s been like to own and operate a successful comic book store (or three) for the last two and a half decades. Join moderator Michael Jewett on trip through the past with these two nerdy kids who followed their dream.
“A Life in Comics” showcases a talented team of artists, writers, and industry professionals as they swap war stories and share some of their highlights from within the comic book world. Join David Walker, Kenny Porter, Joel Bartlett, and Steven Wygmans as they share their past , and maybe a glimpse into the future of the wild world of comics and stuff!
COSPLAY CONTESTS
TO ENTER: Beginning Sunday, July 25th, entering the contests will be as easy as sharing an image of your cosplay on your social media! Just make sure you:
Tag @vaultofmidnight.
Add #Vomcon
Include SOMETHING in the image that says Vault of Midnight. This can be as simple as a piece of paper with “VoM” written on, a Vault of Midnight bag, t-shirt, etc. This is to deter folks from just googling “cool cosplay” and posting something as their own.
It’s as simple as that! Finalists will be posted on the VoMCon Discord server at noon for voting, and winners will be announced at 1:45 for the kids contest and 4:45 for the adults.
DRAWING JAM
All day from 12:00-6:00 you can join the Digital Draw Jam taking place on our dedicated VoMCon Discord Server. Drawing prompts will be provided, and you will be able to mingle and chill out with other con-goers in a relaxed setting. Throughout the day local artists from our Artist Alley will be hosting a Draw-Along/Q’n’A where you can ask about their art, process, and more!
VAULT OF KNOWLEDGE
Quizmaster Caleb will be hosting a live digital trivia game over the Vault of Midnight Facebook, Instagram, and Youtube Live accounts. Questions will cover major nerdy milestones from the last 25 years, including but not limited to: the creation of Miles Morales, Secret Wars, and more DC Crises than you can shake an Escrima stick at!
