Johnny Parker II is a comic creator, teacher, and podcaster. Many of his comics are inspired by the need he sees for representation. Die Cute is a romantic comedy that takes place in a graveyard and tells the story of African American music junky that falls in love with a Transgender Latinx ghost from the 1950s named Maria. The Black Man's Guide to Getting Pulled Over is a story that satirically explores systemic racism and police harassment, in an effort to find a solution to the problem.
