Comic Book Club returns in the New Year with a vengeance! This session we’ll be hanging out and chatting about two of the most stellar graphic novels that 2022 had to offer! Squire is December’s BOTM and takes you to the once great Bayt-Sajji Empire, where young Aiza dreams of becoming a knight even though her status as one of the Ornu people makes her a second-class citizen. A thrilling story set in a SWANA inspired world Aiza comes to realize that the empire she’s training to fight for may actually actually be an enemy. Squire was created by the awesome creative team of Sara Alfageeh and Nadia Shammas! January’s BOTM is FIREPOWER by all-star creators Robert Kirkman and Chris Samnee!! A story about destiny, family, and Kung-fu. What more could you ask for? With absolutely gorgeous art from one of the best cartoonists in the game Firepower hits at the heart of makes comics such a great medium for fiction!
